Racing FAQ

When your Racing Officials arrive they will check in with you to go over all the event details and then begin setting up the race course.

Mobile Racing Challenge prefers short cut grass. However, we can also set up on hard surfaces such as asphalt, concrete, tiles, and hardwood. Our tracks are usually 30’ x 20’. Have more or less room? We can custom fit our experience to your space! Just ask.

New for 2023: Mobile Racing Challenge now comes with Toby & Doug’s Mobile Garage, a 16′ trailer modeled after a vintage mechanics garage. While we can set up MRC away from the mobile garage, we recommend setting up as close to the mobile garage as possible.

Racing our Hobby Grade RC cars can be challenging, but fun and easy to pick up. Our Racing Officials are there to teach each participant how to use their Remote Control Transmitter and give some fun tips to maximize your experience. The speed of each car can be turned up and down by our racing officials to find the perfect setting for your group.

Events such as birthdays and office team building can last 1 to 2 hours. Fairs, School Groups, and Camps with more participants can last 4 to 10 hours. Our Customer Experience Team is here to help you pick the right amount of time for each event. We can also do short races that last just a couple of minutes.

Mobile Racing Challenges deposits and final payments are non-refundable. In the event you need to change your date or time there will be a rebooking fee. In the event of inclement weather, the client may reschedule free of charge*.

Wear comfortable CLOSED TOE SHOES please wear or bring comfortable shirts and coats if needed. Mobile Racing Challenge is an outside experience unless you have arranged for an inside event. Please dress accordingly to the daily weather.

Mobile Racing Challenge is here to make sure that you have an enjoyable experience. In the event of rain or snow or extreme cold that would cause a dangerous or uncomfortable experience, we will allow you to reschedule your event to another day and time as long as we have notice 4 hours before our arrival, and you are within 30 miles of our Northbrook, IL location. Further locations require 24 hours notice. Mobile Racing Challenge does have the final say if we are to cancel an event. Mobile Racing Challenge reserves the right to pause activities. In the event of continuous bad weather Mobile Racing Challenge will rain check your remaining time left to a future booked event. If you are located 30 miles or more from our Northbrook location 24 hours notice must be made to rain check your event. Mobile Racing Challenge has the final say on all weather-related rainchecks. There are no refunds.

We recommend ages 7 to 107.

Mobile Racing Challenge can accept groups of 2 to 15 at a time.

Mobile Racing Challenge provides a safe, fun, and competitive challenge for corporate team building. Car racing is a team sport that is won by a whole crew of people working together. Mobile Racing Challenge uses the acronym R.A.C.E. (Receive, Adversity, Communication, and Eagerness) to increase communication through teamwork, strategizing to overcome challenges, and in creating a positive work culture.

Mobile Racing Challenge has solutions to accommodate groups as large as 3000 people. Please call 773-219-2922 so we can help you customize your event for any group size.

Mobile Racing Challenge Does not need any power for events that are less than two hours during the day. Events over two hours and in the evening need electricity for charging batteries and lighting. If you are unable to provide electricity, we can provide a generator at an additional cost.

We recommend booking your private party at least 6 weeks out, but we will do our best to accommodate your group for last-minute bookings.
