Axe Throwing has been used in both sport and war since the 5th century with the more modern day Axe Throwing locations starting in 2011. Mobile Axe Throwing abides by the rules of WATL (World Axe Throwing League) which is the leading organization in regulating the sport of Axe Throwing. Our Mobile Axe Throwing trailer is designed with your safety in mind. Your Axe Master spends a great deal of time going over rules, teaching participants the proper axe throwing technique and monitoring participants safety. Axe Throwing is a form of archery just like darts and bow and arrows. Mobile Axe Throwing’s number one goal is our participant’s safety.

Once the trailer arrives we will set up using either 2 or 3 targets (depending on space availability). Your Axe Master will go over safety and technique with your participants and then the competition begins.
Mobile Axe Throwing can vary the length depending on the type of event. A group game play setting can be tailored from 30 mins to an hours while our free throw sessions can be as quick as 3 mins.
Learning to throw an Axe is very simple, but mastering aim, power, and trajectory can take some time. Some get it right away and others take a few tries. Your Axe Master is there to help you stick that axe to the target and help you to develop your axe throwing skills. We also have various weights and sizes of axes to make sure everyone has an axe that they feel comfortable with.
Mobile Axe Throwing‘s Deposit is non-refundable. In the event you need to change your date or time, there will be a rebooking fee. In the event of inclement weather, MAT will let you post-pone your event free of charge*.

While axe throwing is safe and fun for people of all ages Mobile Axe Throwing does not recommend participating if you are Pregnant, have a heart condition, have had recent major surgery, back problems, or are unable to stand for extended periods of time.
Mobile Axe Throwing has the right to turn away anyone they feel may be too inebriated to safely participate.

Please dress accordingly to the daily weather. Wear comfortable CLOSED TOE SHOES please bring loose comfortable shirts and coats. Mobile Axe Throwing is an outside experience unless you have arranged for inside-parking for your facility. You will also be required to sign our waiver before participating.
Mobile Axe Throwing is here to make sure that you have an enjoyable experience. In the event of rain or snow that would cause a dangerous throwing condition Mobile Axe Throwing will allow you to reschedule your event to another day and time as long as we have notice 4 hours before our arrival, and you are within 50 miles of our Northbrook, IL location. Mobile Axe Throwing does have the final say if we are to cancel an event. Mobile Axe Throwing reserves the right to pause activities. In the event of continuous bad weather Mobile Axe Throwing will rain check your remaining time left to another day. If you are located 50 miles or more from our Northbrook location 24 hours notice must be made to rain check your event. Mobile Axe Throwing has the final say on all weather related rain checks. There are no refunds.

We recommend Mobile Axe Throwing for ages 10 and up although we have been able to teach kids as young as 8. Anyone under the age of 18 must have their legal guardian sign a waiver.
Mobile Axe Throwing is here to make your party as easy as possible for you to plan. We will guide and assist you to obtain any permits and reserved parking necessary with your city or village. Mobile Axe Throwing also works with many park districts, office complexes, and restaurants to bring the adventure to where ever you are. Any charges for parking permits will be the responsibility of the party host.
Our truck and trailer require 50 feet to park. In order to use the side of the trailer with 3 targets we need 10 feet of unobstructed space from the side of our trailer. If you cannot provide that we will use our two targets within the trailer.
Mobile Axe Throwing can accept groups of 2 to 15 at a time. Ask us about our solutions for up to 3000 people. Axe Throwing provides a safe, fun, and competitive challenge for corporate team building. Companies are utilizing Axe Throwing to increase communication through team work, strategizing to overcome challenges, and in creating a positive work culture.
Mobile Axe Throwing is equipped with our own generator to power any needed lights. No outlets or cords are necessary from you.
We recommend booking your private party at least 6 weeks out, but we will do our best to accommodate your group for last minute bookings.
We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your date and a location. Full Payment is due 2 weeks prior to your event date.
